How long after a Breast Reduction can I walk around and travel?

I am getting a breast reduction tomorrow and I have a banquet to go to this Saturday. I was wondering if anyone who has had it done, will I be able to go?

it's up to how you feel. i had my surgery on a monday and didn't go out anywhere until sunday night to a play that i already had tickets for (with the expection of getting my hair washed a few days before since i couldn't do it myself).
you will still have a bandage on but can still wear regular clothes.

I haven't done it but two of my friends have. As far as I know you'll definitely be out of hospital by then and will be able to walk around pretty soon after but you'll be sore for a long time. I reckon you'll be able to go to the banquet if you really want to but you"ll probably be in a bit of pain, so take it easy! Good luck tomorrow!

I think you have to rest for about a week, but it won't hurt to go to a banquet, you're only sitting down the whole time, right?
