How to make sure no milk is left when quitting breastfeeding ?

Ok i realized i need to re-word my questionto make it understandable. here is what i meant to ask:

When quitting breastfeeding how do you make sure there is no more milk left in your breast? How to make sure it is emptied before quitting?

I mean when you quit forever.

I know ut takes time but how do ou make sure there is NOTHING left at the end of it.

Does it get absorbed back by the body after a few months- if lets say there are a few grams of milk left, when you have completely stopped?

So if there are a few grams left- does it disappear and get absorbed? Or stays there forever?

Breast feeding is supply and demand, and if you wean, as opposed to stopping cold turkey, your breasts will adjust. After a certain point your breasts don't keep the reserves that they do when you nurse all the time, and so as you slowly taper off, they stop producing. It's not as though there would be several grams of spoiled milk just sitting around in your breast.

Yes, it will dry up, you can stop whenever you want...you will feel pressure like you want to pump or breastfeed, but you just have to let it dry up on it's own, it will all go away by itself, you don't have to squeeze out the last drop!

I quite breastfeeding my son at 7 months, and my milk never dried up. right before he turned 2 i got pregnant and amazingly it dried up then, just to refill a couple months later.

You can't empty your breasts before you stop breastfeeding. The lack of breastfeeding will make the milk go away!
