Two periods in one month after stopping breastfeeding?

I stopped breastfeeding at the end of Mar and got what I thought was a period on April 5th. This period was EXTREMELY light (a skid mark each day at most). Then on April 29th I started again -this time it was a regular period. At first I wondered if I was preg again but by the 30th it was a full out period. Has anyone else experianced this?

Oh yeah. I had very quirky periods -- actually, they started when I just cut back on BFing. This is normal for a few months until you get regular again. It's like the start or stop of your cycle for any part of the life cycle-- pills, puberty, menopause. Some people's periods are heavier or lighter each month depending on stress, heat, etc.

It's like getting your period for the first time all over again or when you've had a stressful time in your life and missed one or had two in the one month...it does happen. My doctor once said to me "when the lawn needs mowing, it will mow itself"

that's still 24 days in between, typical is 28 so it is probably just normal.
