How to start a business in caregiving.?

I would like to start a business in caregiving in Arizona and need to know what i need to get started from licenses to business cards and insurance etc..

That's a tough one. I have a client who started her own senior assisted living facility in California. It was a lot of work. She had to get special approval from the state, the correct zoning permits and all that. The facility had to be up to code, installing wheelchair ramps, etc.

Not to mention the normal business stuff, like marketing, incorporating, accounting, insurance, staffing, supplies, etc.

I helped her with marketing, business cards, logo development, and website. The more funding you have, the more you'll be able to hire talent to take care of different responsibilities, lightening your load.

I'd suggest doing more research. How many companies already exist in the area you want to start your business, how much you'll need to get started, when you expect to be cash-flow positive, things like that. Write everything down. It might even help you to take a part time job at a caregiving company just to see how everything works there.

Best of luck!

Contact a local franchise agency and tell them you are interested in starting your own buisness. A franchise would be easier to start becouse people will be familar with the name but you will be the sole owner of the buisness. Also do a yahoo search. I saw a website a while back on homehealth agencies. If you need a experience caregiver to work for you I have 2 years experience and currently working at a home for the elderly and interested in relocating. you can email me at diamonddesire08@gmail.com when you get started.
