What percentage of women who have HPV get cervical cancer?

All strains, the whole bit. If you get HPV, what are your chances of getting cervical cancer?

This question is kinda funny to me. Pretty much all women get some form of HPV, so the percentage of women with HPV who get cervical cancer is pretty much exactly the same as the percentage of women with cervical cancer.

It varies from region to region, but in the US it's about 7 in 100,000 women.

The reason it varies it because women who get regular pap smears rarely get cervical cancer because pap smears catch cervical changes in the precancerous stage.

Cervical cancer was the #1 killer of women for many years . . . until the invention of the pap smear. In many developing areas of the world, cervical cancer is still the #1 killer of women.

No-one can give an exact answer to this as often HPV is symptomless and so goes undiagnosed.
What has been found is that close to 100% of women who develop cervical cancer have HPV.
