How long should I wait to be tested for chlamydia again?

I've been on the doxycycline for 2 days now and the infection should be gone Wednesday. But I wanted to go back to the clinic to get tested to make sure it's gone asap would I be able to go Wednesday or would it be too soon

Go take another Chlamydia test 4 weeks after your last pill. I went through the same thing last year. My doctor told me that even after your last doxycycline pill, your body is still fighting off the infection. If you test shortly after your done with your pills, you may have a false positive. Do what your doctor told you to do. Sometimes they want you to come back for a followup appt. Sometimes they will tell you that the medication is strong enough to heal you and not to come back unless you notice symptoms, etc.
