Have you had Chlamydia and how did your doctor treat it? |
What is the course of treatment for females? Chlamydia can be easily treated and cured with antibiotics. A single dose of azithromycin or a week of doxycycline (twice daily) are the most commonly used treatments. All sex partners must also be treated. Men and women should abstain from sex for 7 days after treatment to avoid spreading the infection. If you go to the clinic and you test positive or you believe you have it then they give you 5 pills of a strong antibiotic, if you take that rout make sure to eat something before hand because you will get a really campy tummy and direah and you might throw them up if you have a sensitive stomach. The other way to go is to see a gyno, you have two options that way, they will put you on an antibiotic for two weeks, take once daily. Or there and a vaginal cream that you must use for 5 days straight. It's no big deal but my advice is to go for the cream if you are having symptoms like itching cause it can sooth it. Or go the quick easy way and take the five pills at once. AND NO SEX FOR 7 DAYS!!! anti-biodics |
