Well getting help for my depression now interfere with my future career as a psychologist?

I have a passion to help others and wanting to help others that had the same experience as me once I get my mental health in good condition.

Get help for your depression and you would make a great psychologist. You would of gone through rough times and you would of survived Depression and you'll be able to help others.
As a child, I was physically, sexually and verbally abused. My dad tried strangling me, I was in group homes and foster homes. It was horrible. I became pregnant at age 18 with my boyfriendof 2 years who abandoned me the day i told him I was pregnant. I went through so much horrible things that I wanted to help others. I graduated last May as a child psychologist and I love my job. I love it. Helping others is like therapy for me. Using what I have learned to help others is just great

No, depression is something that every single person in the world goes through at one time or another. Sometimes it goes away on it's own, and sometimes you need help. Try to figure out for yourself if you've had this depression for a long time. If you have then get help, if not wait a little longer but either way depression will not stop your career. Several psychiatrists are depressed themselves.
