How has diabetes changed over the years? |
treatments? how it affects your lifestyle? who does it affect the most? where? When? I've been an insulin-dependent diabetic for 16 years now. For me, today we have more accurate glucose meters. It used to be you had to look at a strip and guess more or less what your blood sugar was. Now the machines tell you exactly. It also used to take like 45 seconds to a minute. Today? 5 seconds. Also the insulin syringes are shorter which is a lot more convenient. Seems like there are always improvements going on which benefit everyone. ----------------------- Ive had type 1 diabetes for 26 years I have discovered this accidentally.
