If you eat too much sugar everyday, will you get diabetes?

I consume a lot of sugar everyday, more than I think is necessary, but I also exercise a lot. Is it possible to still get diabetes?

athena, you're an idiot. you're mocking the person who asked the question and telling him that he should stop eating sugar or he will get diabetes, abercrombie is totally right, it's a big myth.
athena, why are you answering questions on diabetes when you quite clearly don't understand it? why does every1 think they know about diabetes?, "oh yeah they get it from eating too much sugar and when they get it they're never allowed to eat sugar again"

no, u do not get diabetes from eating too much sugar. its just that some peoples bodies cannot handle that sugar properly. also heredity plays the largest role.

Yes. Most especially if you're family has history of Diabetes. So be careful starting today. Replace it with water.

Ofcourse it is.
I think the worst cases are genetic,
I've had severe diabetes all my life, and it's genetic.

i doubt you will get it because ur working off the sugar.
