My partner and i have genital herpes. are there issues having sex without a condom if one of us has a breakout? I am in the same boat, my boy friend and I both have genital herpes we don't use condoms but we do avoid having sex if one of use has an out break and we stay faithful to each other. Using condoms would kind of defeat the purpose since you both have herpes. Using condoms could even possibly trigger an out break. If you both have it genitally, then you can't get it genitally again. However, it can still be spread from genitals to mouth, or other parts. So, precautions are needed. Take your acyclovir, Famvir, or Valtrex. you can have sex without condoms since you both have them. if u do it while the sores are present it make make the oposite get a fresh sore or can casue pain to the sore but as for catching it your fine. id avoid oral during an outbreak so the herpies dont spread to the mouth good luck No, since you both already have it...just be careful not to spread it to another area. I would think condoms would be more irritating and could cause more harm than good. I would not do that at all. You are chancing of getting new areas that you will have sores and who would want that. I would avoid all sexual contact during an OB |
