well this has personally happened to me unfortunatly.

My boyfriend gave me HSV-1 genital herpes through oral sex. six months after that i developed and was diagnosed with occular herpes. I never got an Im sorry or anything from my boyfriend, in fact he accused me of cheating because in his mind there was just noooo way that a cold sore is herpes (he was obvioulsy nieve and dumb!)..
but even after all of that i forgave him.. People say im dumb and stupid for forgiving him but i was in love.. we have broken up since but still talk everyday. I had to forgive him more so for me. If i never forgave him i would be thinking about it everday and just hating him for that fact that i have to life with an two incurable strands of the herpes virus, while he just has to deal with a cold sore every now and then.. its honestly not fair, but thats life..

I am now dating a new guy. It was extreamly difficult to tell him i had genital herpes but i was obligated to. I told him and at firstt he was a little stressed and upset but then he told me it dosent matter, and we have been together ever since. =) soo life does go on after being diagnosed with herpes.

If he knew he had it and told me about it I would be forgiving, specially if we had been together for a long time.
If he had herpes, knew about it and didn't tell me then I would be very angry at him and kick his you know what to the curb faster then you could say "what a jerk".
I all ready have HSV1 and HSV2 down south all from my current boy friend who I decided to stay with because we love each other unconditionally.
If you still love them even after getting herpes from them then you can stay with them if you want to. If you hate him for giving you herpes then there is no reason to stay in a relationship with some one you're going to resent for the rest of your life.

I found a blog that gave me a lot of answers and what to expect. They also claim that there is a cure. They say that the pharmaceutical companies do not offer cures because they are a billion dollar industry at providing relief like most other meds. I hope this helps good luck.
