Genital Herpes - Can Kissing will pass herpes?

Last week I had my blood test which showed negative for Herpes Type 1 and positive for Herpes Type 2. Does kissing someone or sharing same glass will pass my virus to others?

HSV-1 and HSV-2 can be found in and released from the sores that the viruses cause, but they also are released between outbreaks from skin that does not appear to have a sore. Generally, a person can only get HSV-2 infection during sexual contact with someone who has a genital HSV-2 infection. Transmission can occur from an infected partner who does not have a visible sore and may not know that he or she is infected.

HSV-1 can cause genital herpes, but it more commonly causes infections of the mouth and lips, so-called 鈥渇ever blisters.鈥?HSV-1 infection of the genitals can be caused by oral-genital or genital-genital contact with a person who has HSV-1 infection. Genital HSV-1 outbreaks recur less regularly than genital HSV-2 outbreaks.

anyway once a person becomes infected, Herpes Simplex Virus lies dormant in the body, waiting for just the right conditions to become active again. There can be many triggers which activate the virus, such as eating arginine-rich foods (like chocolate, cola, beer, seeds and nuts); the onset of a cold or fever; sunburn; the menses cycle & any physical or emotional event that introduces stress to the body. Each person's triggers are different, but all herpes sufferers have one thing in common--worrying about the next outbreak adds even more stress, which just feeds the vicious cycle and makes it worse!
And there is no real treatment that can cure herpes, but antiviral medications can shorten and prevent outbreaks during the period of time the person takes the medication. For example Herpeset is a good (probably the best) product. It works by stimulating your immune system to fight the HSV virus.

It is working for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry Herpeset but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.herpeset.com/?aid=749165 In addition, daily suppressive therapy for symptomatic herpes can reduce transmission to partners...!

good luck!

Dear concerned:

Do you have genital herpes? Does your genitals break out in pain? That is what HSV2 is. 25% Americans are infected with the virus and they may not know about it because some people have NO Symptoms at ALL.

If you kiss someone or share a glass of water, there is risk of passing the virus to that person. The tricks is, according to the info from the web, do not kiss them when you are having an outbreak. Take medication that will curb the viruses in quantity and stay protected. Saliva and bodily fluids is the most common way other than touching that would spread the herpes virus. So oral to genital sex is a big no no.

Date someone who have the virus. Less guilt trip for your mentality if you turn out to love that person. Love hurts, and it will hurt a lot more if you know you love them, and you can't love them physically.

Best wishes

Type 1 is coldsores, type 2 is genital herpes. You can spread your virus if they kiss your privates, but they're unlikely to get it from kissing your mouth at this point.

Read over this page. It will explain how both herpes viruses are spread. It is a great site and you will have all the information that you need. Take care
