What is the average range of IOP to recommend treatment for Glaucoma?

Taking into consideration that the visual field is full and the optic nerve disk appears healthy.

It would have to be very high to prescribe constant permanent medication (which is what we are talking about) on pressures alone.

Over 25 at least, probably not under 30.
But it would be somewhat unusual to go that route:
frequent pressure/fields/optic disc monitoring would normally be preferred, with the consultants I used to work with. Every 3/12, stretching to 6/12 if and when the situation had proven safe and stable.
If it didn't, medication would be called for.

Glaucoma treatment for open angle glaucoma is started based on field, optic nerve appearance and nerve fiber layer assessment, not based on IOP.

Chronic or acute closed angle glaucoma is treated based on angle appearance with some influence from IOP.
