Do I need to remiburse my personal health insurance plan for claims they have paid?

They have an $ 11,000 lien asserted "at fault party". That party's insurance carrier says they are not liable but that they will offer me up to $ 5,000 under their Medical Payments provision. I have approx $ 2,500 in actual expenses that were not covered by my insurance company. Do I have a right to claim the $2,500 without having to reimburse my own carrier? I live in Wisconsin. you state you have a 11k lien asserted to the at fault party. is this the other partys insurance who state will pay under their medical payments coverage?? if so, then they believe not liable and will not pay the lien?

if you should collect a injury settlement, your insurance may have a right of subrogation on any medical bills they paid. or they may ask for the addtl 2,500 left in the 5k medical payment coverage be reimbursed to them.

1st off; call and talk to your insurance company; have them explain what you may owe; when they paid any claims, you most likely signed form allowing them to be reimbursed.

you also need to clarify who is at fault for this accident. if found not at fault, you maybe on the hook for any bills not paid by either insurance if not enough to pay.
