Is there a law in Michigan regarding employers reinstated health insurance after a lay off? |
My husband was laid off from his job for 4 months. Prior to the lay-off, he has been employed by this company for 13 yrs. During past lay-offs, his insurance was not interrupted. I have been told that when you are called back to work, by law they have to reinstate your insurance, that they cannot take it away and cannot make you work a certain time frame to earn it back. Is this true? Health insurance can be very tricky.
