What are the chances of me getting hepatitis from a tongue piercing? |
ok well i got my tongue pierced like 9 weeks ago, it seems to be ok but i heard it can cuase hepatitis, is it true? if so what are th chances of me getting it? and how can i get it? If unsterilized instruments are used, the chance is pretty good, not only for hepatitis but also for septicemia (so called blood poisoning), tetanus etc. Very small. It can cause it and HIV, however. You shouldn't have to worry about that if a sterile technique was used. If not, there is a chance but I am not sure of the likelihood. |
