Ok im 38wks Pregnant and the Midwife said that I have high blood pressure it is 120 ova 80 is that bad? |
This is my first pregnancey and I have to go in the hospital early to have a c-section is that rite becuase I wanted to have a vaginal birth I think that my blood pressure 120 ova 80 is fine but what do you think? if your midwife isnt concerned about your blood pressure then dont worry yourself cause worrying only causes your blood pressure to rise! some people need to have a c section, cause either; I've always heard 120/80 is great. It's normal. Why do you have to have a c-section? If it's for medical reasons,it's understandable,if not, then I would maybe just well nevermind it's too late for you to find another doctor. I would most definitely talk to one at least though. I would most definitely find out though, because some doctors like to do c-section because it's quick and easy for them, not to mention the money they get out of it. i had a look in my pregnancy book and my blood pressure was 120/80 at 29 weeks. my midwife didnt say it was high, she said it was normal. That is weird because I thought 120 over 80 is fine. That is what my blood pressure is usually at. I am 30 weeks pregnant and had high blood pressure before becoming pregnant and now my blood pressure is great. 120/80 was textbook normal for quite a few years, but now it is 120/60, but i don't think that is horrible, but you should really ask more questions of your midwife, since we don't know all the details. Hypertension (or high blood pressure) is diagnosed when systolic is above 140 mmHg or diastolic is above 90 mmHg. Technically you are in the pre-hypertension stage. Ova is Latin for egg. Over is a correct word and should be used. 120/80 is wonderful and completely normal. Maybe your midwife does not know how to spell either or read numbers. that's the normal.....atleast that's what i've been told and that's where my blood pressure usually is. I don't know what they are thinking. here in uk it used to be considered high if it was say 150/90 or higher, depends whether you have protein in urine High blood pressure is 140/90. You dont have high blood pressure!! No that is normal |
