My daughter is ten and we just found out she has gained 10 pounds in a month and has high blood pressure what?


we just found out she has high blood pressure and gained 10 pounds in a month can can i do as far as what she eats to help her lose some weigh and get the strain off her heart?

have started this Diet (lifestyle change) in the middle of November at 140lbs, and now at 117lbs

If man made it, don't eat it

NO white BREAD or SUGAR

NO PIZZA, I am in the pizza business, and it is not good for you, very high in FAT and Calories

NO FRIED FOOD...

Stay away from FAST FOOD

NO POP, SODA or FIZZY DRINKS

Walk your dog, or walk a friends dog

Don't think of it as a diet, but think of it as a lifestyle change

I have lost 28.5 pounds in 3 months, drink lots of water. I usually eat a meal of what ever I want once a week....controlled portion....this really works.........

Write down every thing you eat

take a multivitamin at night

if you daughter has high blood pressure at 10 years old, take her to a doctor. that shouldn't have ANYTHING to do with her gaining just ten pounds. my god. 10 years old and high blood pressure? there could be something else seriously wrong with her.

as for losing the 10 pounds, don't take it off too quickly. and i hope you aren't the one telling her she's "fat" or needs to lose weight just because of 10 pounds. i hope she wants to lose it, too. but, anyway, just tell her to exercise. at 10 years old, doing any diet is deprimental to her health because she's still growing and needs all the nutrients she can get. just exercise.
