I have incontinence (pees frequently). What experiences have you had to relieve the urges and live a life.?

How do you relieve your frequent urges of incontinence and what can you do to lead a rather unobtrusive life?

Do you use maxi pads or Poise to avoid leakage??
Examples: Diet, Exercise, Yoga, Medication...

incontinence is the inability to hold on to your urine (you wet your pants). if you can hold it but need to go urgently and frequently you could be suffering from a urinary tract infection (UTI) as frequency and urgency are common symptoms along with offensive smelling urine and buring when passing urine. See your doctor to rule out a UTI. If that is all clear then it is the muscular function of your bladder that is weak and there many products available and support groups (your dr could refer you) to help. What ever you do, do not cut down on the amount you drink as this can lead to dehydration and kidney problems

Well I'm a dude and can't use pads.

Instead we have to tough it out and since I take medication that makes me go pee without warning it basically causes me to run.

So I suggest that you start trying to hold it longer and maybe your body will get used to holding it (unless you have a serious problem).

some use either of those things mentioned. but they is a small surgery that can help and if you want go to the doctor and talk to him about it it does stop it and You an be ok. so i would try that first i mean its better when we get older things don't work right but there are ways to fix that.

IF, you are female, Kegal exercises may work. Meds can work too, but some are pretty $$$. My problem was interferring in my life so much, I had an operation for it.

I have to pee a lot, but I think it is because I am constantly consuming alcoholic beverages (as I am an alcoholic).
