My infertility treatments are starting in 2 weeks.?

Preferably people that have or are taking infertility treatments, or know someone close who has:
I am starting infertility treatments in two mondays. It is really nerve racking. The DR said next Tues to come in for another appointment where he is going to explain how I am going to take my Clomid, and what will happen, and when to have sex and ETC!
But heres the prob, I don't want to sound like an un-educated person with infertility.. So if you would kindly give me like TONS of advice and tell me how it all works and all the stuff I need to know? That way when I go in, we can have a conversation about it, and I won't be there like "uhh durr... " THank youuuu!

You typically take Clomid in the first few days of your cycle. Your cycle starts when your period starts. Then, you have to have blood drawn at the ob/gyn's office on a specific day; your doctor will tell you which day. I think you're also supposed to use ovulation predictor kits to pinpoint exact ovulation days.

I wouldn't be worried about looking dumb in front of the doctor. I would suggest taking a list of questions you have for him. From what I've found, doctors want to help you understand what's happening.

Even though you're taking Clomid, watch your cervical fluids. When they are eggwhite consistency, that's when you're ovulating. Oh, and Clomid can tend to dry up your cervical fluids, so ask your doctor what to do if that's the case. A lot of people use plain Robitussin, so see what he thinks about that.

Most of all, try not to stress about this (it's really hard, I know) and have fun having sex a lot! :o) Good luck, and lots of baby dust!

It is perfectly okay for you to go in without knowing what to expect. If your doc does his or her job right, you will understand when the apt is over. I know from experience as I new nothing and my doctor drew pics, explained, and had me repeat back. They realize that they are the experts, not you. If your doc is impatient, see someone else. You need patience during this time now and ahead of you.
