Did you ever get an explanation for your unexplained infertility? |
Please elaborate. I am unexplained and frustrated. TTC for 22 months. realityshow- that's interesting. I did read that they could check out the tubes with a fibre-optic camera. I wonder if they can combine many tests at once so I can get them over with- endometrial biopsy/ integrin test/ hysteroscopy/ laparoscopy/ tube camera test (forget the name) We have passed every test so far with flying colors. Our RE said there can be a couple of issues that we don't see as a result of testing. One being issues with the tube actually picking up the egg when the ovary releases it. There is no test to see if that is an issue. There could also be a sperm penetration issue with the egg. Again this could be an unforeseen issue. He said if it wasn't for the fact that we have been ttc for 33 months he would say we were healthy and fertile and should conceive in a year from our tests. Dear Ava, My unexplained changed to tubal. I had an ectopic pregnancy and when I went in for my surgery to remove the tube my RE looked at the other tube with a camera and determined that it was probably too weak to carry an egg just like HONEYB1 says. No, they never determined why I had such difficulty in conceiving. My husband and I tried for ten years til we finally gave up and decided it wasn't meant to be. For five months I never even thought about it. I had come to grips with the fact that we would never have a baby. Then out of the blue........I got pregnant! The doctors never knew why we couldn't conceive. My hubby and I both had tests. After 8 years we tried IUI's and none of them worked. Finally after 10 years we had to resort to IVF. A long, expensive, sometimes painful process, but now we are Finally pregnant. |
