How much can Obesity affect fertility?? Anyone obese sucessfully concieve and have a healthy pregnancy? I don't consider myself obese, just fat lol. But according to my age, height, and weight, I am obese. Me and my husband have been married for 2 years and I was never on birth control and he never used condoms and I never got pregnant. We and even our parents were starting to wonder if maybe we couldn't have children or maybe it was because I was overweight. I was not accepting the fact that my weight had anything to do with it, especially since I know a few women who are way more overweight than me with 5, 6, and sometimes even 7 kids running around. I went to www.babycenter.com and calculated my ovulation days as my last resort. The second month of "officially trying" my period was late, I took a test and it was positive. I actually have a friend who is over 400 lbs, and she has had three successful pregnancies in 6 years. She didn't really have any issues during her pregnancy either. |
