I did this too. I did mine over the difference in Race, Gender, and Religion. Like more mexicans are fatter then the whites. Women are fatter then men, and some religions are fatter then others. Also obesity rates in different states. Like how Colorado has the least obesity. Also the effects from smoking. How most people get obese after they stop smoking, how it effects their metabolism. Also the difference between just being fat, obese, and morbidly obese. How obesity has been rising in America (but I think is going back down).
Do a little research before just going with any of that. some of it might be wrong, but I hope I gave you a stepping stone.

There are the obvious health issues related to the disease. Then you may also want to put something about the social stigma they will undoubtedly have to fight. (They will be bullied and made fun of.)

It can really kill a child's self esteem and alienate them from the rest of their peers, in some cases even resulting in suicide

Depending on who the audience is, the famous US obesity trend map from CDC may be interesting. See below for the link. They actually have powerpoint slides on line, from which you can find ideas.

Throw some statistics in there about how many fat people there are in the country.
Maybe tell how kids are fatter these days due to eating crap all the time.
Genetic problems that can cause obesity, like thryoid problems.
And personally I think you should use this picture and on the first or last slide [ http://fromtheold.com/wp-content/uploads... ]

Some solutions might be good to add - like a "biggest Reducer" type contest for kids.

Maybe something like that could be done in schools or churches or communities with a lot of sports activities & contests scheduled over time.

Lots of nasty pictures of flabby people.
