What role does the government have in solving the problem of obesity? |
Interesting question. I don't see the what benefits the govt would get if they got involved... They pay some medical bills, pills etc....y ? None, but it's not because they wouldn't benefit. The government has no duty to prevent people from being obese. The only legitimate use of government is to protect rights and to defend the country. The government has no role.. other than encouraging education on the subject. The lifestyle choices that contribute to obesity are just that... choices. None. Obesity is a personal choice, harms no one else and the government needs to keep its snout out. It's none of their business. They could take away food stamps though from the fat people who refuse to work for a living! Gym for 4/5th of the class day and the other 1/5 lunch. |
