I have red eyes from allergies.? |
I have red eyes from allergies. They bother me when ever i touch them, wake up. Now is there anything i can do without having to put eye drops in. Any house hold things. i tried water but it only does so much. I am sick of taking eye drops. So if anyone has any home remedies or anything it would be greatly appreciated. For your Review... If the red eyes are in the morning when you wake up, then the cause is probably dust mite allergy. Until you stop your exposure to the allergen, you aren't going to get rid of the redness and no drops in the world are going to stop it. Dust mites are the microscopic creatures that live in our mattresses, pillows, blankets, etc. They are not "bed bugs". They have a protein that many people are allergic to. As you move on your bed, these allergy-laden particles go up in the air and you breathe them in. Your immune system freaks out and thinks you are under attack from germs, so IgE starts to attach to the mast cells in your blood and as a result you start making histamine. It is the histamine that is making your eyes red and probably watery and sore. The only way to cut off the histamine production is to stop the IgE, and you are only going to stop the IgE if you stop exposing yourself to the mites. I will include a link to a place to read about mites and a link to a place that you can get this stuff I use to wash my sheets to get the mites out. If the redness is not only in the morning but is all day long every day, then you should probably see an allergist or immunologist for skin or blood tests. But if it is when you get up in the morning, dust mites are the most likely suspect. The good news is that they are so easily controlled that your eyes can be clear in no time. You may need an air filter I think dust keeps ending up in your eye. The air filter will filter all the dust, debris, and pet dander. You also would need an antihistamine eye drops . Hope that helps. |
