Did Omega 3 give me a severe allergy attack? Red/itchy and VERY swollen under eyes.? |
I think I have an allergic reaction to Omega 3 which I was taking for a week. It started off as a little red, raised patch under my eyes and then spread. My eyes are super tiny in my head now and I look like an alien. Under my eyes is extremly itchy and bright red. I went to Emerg and had antibotics but the infection control Doctor said its allergies and now I'm taking prednisone and going back to the outpatient clinic tomorrow for a follow up. The only thing I changed in my diet, etc. was taking Omega 3 supplements. Has anyone else had this? Well, most Omega 3 supplements are made from fish oil. Fish is a pretty common allergy. It's very likely that that's what caused your reaction. Even if you haven't had a reaction to it before, allergies can develop at any time. |
