What are the effects of smoking and chewing tobacco on oral health? Hello there, the answer to your question is that the effects of smoking or chewing tobacco on your oral health is usually called "Oral Cancer".....If you or anyone you know has a lesion in their mouth and they don't have pain because of it, and you are the patient, you need to have a biopsy "Immediately"...My experience over the years is that the areas in the mouth that don't look right and do not exhibit pain are the ones you need to be "most" concerned about, especially if your a tobacco user. wow what a broad question....well firstly smoking intereferes with blood flow to the gums so firstly if u have any extractions etc healing is delayed and at a high risk of dry socket....because of this interference it also hides gum disease because ur gums wont bleed as much as they should for u to suspect that u have gum disease.....aesthetically it also causes alot of staining and dry mouth is another side effect!!!! they wreck your teeth in every way. yellow, rots them, makes pain, browns and blacks them, makes them weak, ... breaks off, fall out, bleed, puss, infections, ... smoking rots your teeth and make them yellow cancer.. tooth decay.. gum disease... some kind of tooth disease that makes ur teeth black btw each one.. all kinds of nasty diseases n cancerous problems |
