Is marijuana really good for pain management? i have cancer so i appreciate the help?

i live in portugal and doctors dont prescribe it here, although i always can buy it illegaly... so i would like to know if it really helps with pain...Thank you

Chronic pain YES, it helps. And it makes you hungry too. If your going to use marijuana, i would reccomend getting a vaporizer or cooking and eatign it, so you don't have to take in any smoke. That way it is virtually harmless, despite how many thumbs down i get.

I say try it and see if it helps, if not, then don't use it anymore. Simple as that.

And you don't get the effects the first few times (1-3) you use it.

Consult with your doctor regarding pain management. There are a variety of excellent pain medications available for all levels of discomfort. They range from simple Tylenol for mild pain to liquid morphine for the most severe cases. No patient should endure pain when these medications are readily available.

If you are a cancer patient, then don't add to your problems by becoming involved in illegal drug use.

I found it helpful , I used it for about a year while going through chemo it relaxed my and helped my appetite.

Not particularly. It is most often used in cancer patients to stimulate their appetites.
