14 weeks pregnant - pelvic bone pain?

Ok, so this morning I was taking my little daughter to the childminder (about a 30 minute walk) I was walking at a steady pace, but not straining myself or anything, when I started to get pains in my pelvis, very low down and to the right side.
I know that is not the baby moving or anything as he/she is much higher than that usually (I've been able to feel for a couple of weeks).
It was like a bone pain, I'm sure it was my actual pelvic bones, the only way I can describe it is like when you hit your funny bone. It came and went, and was painful enough that when it came on I had to stop walking each time for a couple of seconds. It went away after about 5 minutes.
Does anyone have any idea what this was? Is it pregnancy related or just general and should I be worried?
Thanks to everyone who answers in advance!

sounds like Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction, i had it the last few weeks of pregnancy and it was absolute agony, i usually walk at a fast pace and had to walk really really slow when i had it, walking became a nightmare, i stupidly just put up with the pain but i did book an appointent at doctors but had my daughter before that date, the pain went after giving birth but as you are still in early pregnancy please do go and get it checked out as it will only get worse, i have heard of a few cases were women have had to use crutches its got that bad. I do know that there are certain excerises and things that can really help

Sounds like your pelvis is taking a hammering and this is where the pain is coming from. See your midwife asap, who will advise on not lifting, resting as much as you can, and possibly wearing a support under your bump to give some degree of ease. Good luck, it is normally only pregnancy related, but precautions must be taken now to prevent pain and possibly any trouble after the birth.

sounds like SPD - Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction. do a google search and see if it matches your symptoms. At least you may have something to ask the doc about. There's not a lot they can do about it if it is, but there are ways to help relieve the pain.
best of luck!

You could have SPD.
Talk to your midwife or doctor as they can advise you on how to help ease that pain.
Here is more info on SPD:

The pain is due to your pelvic bones spreading out, making room for the growing baby to enter the birth canal.
