33 weeks pregnant and i have a lot of pain in my pelvic region? |
It started about 2 weeks ago and it's getting worse. It's going from the front of my pelvis (above the clitoral area) to right inside my vagina. It is a constant aching pain that is worse when i walk or get up. Spreading my legs doesn't seem to make it worse - actually there is a bit of relief when I sit 'cross legged'. I thought it was SPD (symphsis pubis dysfunction?) but most articles about that say the pain is worse when the legs are apart and that's not the case with me. Walking or exercising makes it worse. Anyone out there had a similar experience? I had this problem about the same time as you. The doctor told me not to worry, that it is just your pubic and pelvic bones shifting and getting into place for delivery. I am at 36 weeks now and it hasn't gone away. My wife is 34 weeks today. She has been having the same sort of pain. This is her 4th pregnancy. She describes it as if the baby was trying to 'engage'. i had the same problem at 31 weeks with my first it is the baby engaging into your pubic area and the pain i was told is that the babies head was on a nerve that was causing the what i called a shooting pain in my vaginal area. No need to worry you will be fine. Good luck.x |
