30 weeks pregnant with pelvic pain?

Hi im 30 weeks pregnant and the past 2 days ive been having bad pain in my pelvis at the left side its horrible and also i keep getting a nipping pain very low down and a shotting pain in my vagina and tonight it actually is making me sting :S I dont have a uti and my discharge is a normal colour! is this all normal. I have also been running to the toilet soo much more the past 2 days aswell, I no the pelvic pain is normal but do you think the babys head could be engaging? Is this why i would be feeling all these pains at the same time all of a sudden? The babys movements are all very low and painful and down below (as in where the babys head would be in my pelvis) actually feels swollen ! Any answers will be appreciated. thank u x

I think the baby's head is slowly starting to drop. The pain could be the round ligaments stretching to make room for him/her to be born. I am 39 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I feel all his movements low too. They have been like that for the past month or so. I'm sure it doesn't mean labor is right around the corner so don't worry about that. From my experience thus far, everything you're feeling is normal. All I can say is that is just the beginning so hang in there and you will make it through the end. Good Luck.

In these cases call your midwife or the people who are looking after your pregnancy, they may want you to go in for a check up but also they are great at calming you if you are worried and with their experionce they are a wealth of knowledge and they are there to give you all the advice you need.

Even if you do not have a UTI, you may have a kidney infection, infact it sounds a hell of a lot like one, it's best to get any niggly ailments checked out ASAP especially in the area where the bub is.

Your ligaments in your pelvis are softening to make room for baby. They sell pelvic girdles that help support your down there and take away most of the pain.
