What treatment can you recieve for polycystic ovary syndrome which has stopped periods for 3 months...?


has anyone been in this situation or know of the treatment I am likely to recieve? I am seeing my doctor as soon as the hospital have sent him my ultrasound results, which I was told showed a medium amount of polycystic cysts...

there is no treatment for pcos but they can put you on birth control pills to help regulate you period or if you ttc metformin pills but nothing to treat it im sorry.

I have pcos and it is very common in women.
i very rarely have a natural period the doctors will give you some options of taking the pill and i think metformin has something to do with the control of diabetes and pcos.(but dont quote me on that)
ive just taken provera which induced a bleed which is great for me as my last natural period was about 7months ago.
unfortunately there is not much treatment for it.
but i wish you luck anyway.

Hormone therapy including the Pill
The Pill has been known to cause PCOS and make the symptoms worse...
The ONLY REAL treatment for PCOS is Surgery to remove the cysts or the ovary

birth control pills and metformin are the usual treatments
