If you have PCOS(polycystic ovary syndrome) can you still have a period regular every month?

If you have PCOS(polycystic ovary syndrome) can you still have a period regular every month?

Yes, you sure can. I have pcos, but my periods were really irregular (40-60 days or more!). Everyone is different with pcos, but if you work with a good doctor, it can be controlled. If you are trying to conceive, a reproductive endocrinologist is very helpful! Good Luck to you with all that you do and best wishes! :o)

Some can have regular periods while some don't.
I had a period every couple of months but I never ovulated without meds.
A period doesn't indicate ovulation. Some can have a period without ovulating.
Dr's can do a blood tests on specific days of your cycle which will check that for you.

ok i have pcos and yes you can. but there are things that you have to do. some drs wont tell you. first loose weight and start walking. pcos is a precursor for diabetes, so watch your carb and sugar intake.
i was diagnosed 4 years ago and have since lost 60 lbs and after that started having a period every month. but they were 30-38 days for a cycle. and have become pregnant. you will have to change your eating habits and it is hard. but if you eat like a diabetic it will help. lots of fruits and veggies.

I have PCOS and after being on BCP for 7 years, I do get a period every month. It ranges from 28-34 days but it's there.

yup!!! I was as regular as clockwork for months at a time, then they would go wierd, then back to normal....

It took me 5 years to concieve and for the majority of that i was regular!
