Could I possibly have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome?

I noticed the symptoms of PCOS include some of what I have, which are as follows;

Acne, oily skin or dandruff.
Weight gain or obesity, usually carrying extra weight around the waist.
High blood pressure.
Patches of thickened and dark brown or black skin on the neck, arms, breasts, or thighs.
Skin tags, or tiny excess flaps of skin in the armpits or neck area.
Increased hair growth on the face, chest, stomach, back, toes or thumbs.

As a 14-year-old, I ruled out oily skin and bad acne due to the height of puberty, but everything else is spot-on. Obviously I woudn't know about any sort of fertility issue that comes with PCOS, but are these symptoms alone enough to say that I might have PCOS? Should I consult my parent/doctor about this? It also said it could be passed on through families...my mother had this, I'm pretty sure.

Then yea, if you think your mom had it, and you have perioed issues then nthats all you need. Actually I dont dont see period issues on here. Do you have irregular periods. If you do then it is pcos. And I wouold ask about metformin (the most used pill that helps with almost all of it). If not then you could still have PCOS. This site helps alot.

PCOS is a hormone imbalance you would have to go to your doctor,i go to my gyn for my pcos. They do blood test to see what your hormones are like.Being your young your period will already be irregular,bc thats what theyre like at that age. So you have irregular periods,like no periods for months? All those symptoms u posted could be thyroid issues as well. Got to talk to your mom,and doctor to check it out,the sooner the better hunn.

-good luck

yo should tell ur mother and then have her schedule a appointment with the endocroologist. they work with the glands of the body and pcos is associated with the ovary gland. i have pcos and went to the obgyn and they told me to go to the endocrologist.
