Do i have PCOS(polycystic ovary syndrome)?

irregular periods, acne, depression, mood swings, excess body and facial hair?
could it be PCOS or something else?
im only 15.
i spoke to the doctor and will have to go to the gynaecologist.

i have had my period for over 4 years and they have always been irregular.
i do store fat around my tummy.

You certainly have the classic symptoms.
Are you overweight and/or store fat around your tummy/waist area?

It could simply be puberty, irregular periods, acne & mood swings do occur during puberty.
Some women, due to genetics do have hairier bodies, though don't have hormone problems.

Honestly though, no one can say you do/don't have PCOS, besides from your doctor or the gynacologist.

Good luck - and don't fret over it, the symptoms ease with medication and usually diet.

It is possible, but irregular periods could just be because your younger, and your period is still newer. Acne and mood swings are generally just part of being a teen, and depression isnt a symptom of PCOS. Excess body hari is a sympotom, but it could just be nothing. Go to the gyno and see what they say. If is possible, but I wouldnt be heavily worried about it.

Yes it is very possible. It starts at an early age and is usually un-detected until the more severe symptoms hit. Like high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, obesity, dark almost black spots around the face and neck starting to develop and hair loss or bald patches on the scalp. PCOS can cause a mess of symptoms.

Here is some more info about it.

Could be. About 10% of women have it and of the 10, 30% don't know it.
