Active exercising during pregnancy? |
I am extremely active with exercising. Particularly biking. I just found out that i am five weeks pregnant. I asked my doctor if it was ok to continue my biking and she said it was ok as long as i am safe and don't ride to fast or competitively. Also obviously i will not do it when my belly becomes bigger. Just wondering if any of you also biked while pregnant, and how it went. As long as you don't have any complications you can continue doing what you did pre-pregnancy with a few exceptions like scuba diving, sky-diving. I didn't ride but I lifted free weights until my Dr said I had to take it easy (I had complications but they weren't cause by lifting) just listen to your body and don't push yourself. Good luck and Congrats! Many women in my gym do even when they're pretty far into the pregnancy. Some even do weights! It's so beneficial to stay active and eat right for you and your baby!! Just not too strenuous!! I'm glad you're taking such good care of yourself! |
