Can a bladder infection delay my period or prevent pregnancy?

okay...so I'm 19. My boyfriend and i decided we wanted a baby. Around, the time we started trying, i stopped getting my period. We thought for sure i was pregnant, but after taking 6 home test and all being negative, i went to the doctor. they ran some urine and blood test. i am not pregnant, but i do have a bladder infection...could that prevent me from getting pregnant?...or could it delay my period?
please help me...I'm so confused.

1) you should get rid of any infections before conceiving. It is best to be as healthy as possible when getting pregnant. You should get a physical and talk with your doctor before hand too. Get started on prenatal vitamins with folic acid BEFORE getting pregnant.

2) bladder infections usually do not prevent pregnancy or delay periods.

3) Having a child is a HUGE committment. Have you thought about waiting until you're married? I just mean that this is such a fun time for you right now...new independence, college, starting YOUR life as an adult. When you have a baby, you give up alot of that freedom and independence because you hve a full time 24/7 responsibility...and dont count on your bf to be there all the time, it usually does not work out that way. I think you should take a few months to think about this further before jumping in, but hey, thats just my opinion
