Can Progesterone Pills cause you to be anxious and have insomnia? |
About 3 weeks ago I had to go to the emergency room becuase I was hemorrhaging. The ob/gyn put me on an 84 pill prescription (6 pills a day for 14 days). I've noticed that when I took the pills it would make me jittery. Also, the last week I was taking them, I was feeling a little atnsy and could not go to sleep. Has anyone gone through the same thing? I would mention this to your doctor. I reacted similiarly to a medication that I was on a few years ago for allergies, and - believe it or not, I was allergic to the allergy medicine. Ironic, right? Indeed, indeed. By taking progesterone you are altering your body's natural hormonal balance. Being on progesterone is something only some women do and only during menopause. I would mention these side effects to the doctor who prescribed this med to you. I know for a fact that women who do need hormone balancing have great results from taking Wild Yam Root topical cream. I had the same happen with another med, it feels like your heart is racing in your chest. |
