Posotive pregnancy test at doctors and all blood work came back normal except my progesterone. Please help!? |
My hcg levels were normal for as early as I am but when I was told that my progesterone levels were low, I freaked out! I'm seeing a high risk doc on Thurs (its monday just in case this doesn't get read right away) I'm high risk cause I've had 2 miscarraiges in the past and I also have a blood disorder called Factor 5 which just means my blood clots easy. Today I asked my doctor what I could do and she said that it was a waiting game. I should just wait to see if my levels double. I was persistent in her calling in a perscription for progestrone. My question is, has this ever happened to anyone else and do you think I'll miscarry??? Thank you! Thank you all for responding so quickly! Its been a stressfull day of worrying. :) I was a high risk pregnancy also due to being a Type 1 Diabetic. My progesterone was low so I was put on a vaginal suppository ftwice a day or the first trimester and then my levels went to where they should be. The suppository did make me feel sick while it was dissolving but I welcome that considering I have a beautiful 8 month old healthy son. Good Luck! ive also had two miscarriages and have the same disorder as you. my progestrone came out a little lower but picked up as the pregnancy developed. dont worry u are in great hands especially if u have a high risk doctor. do they have u on baby asprin or have the talked about putting u on heparin? if u ever need anyone to talk to feel free to email me. by the way im proof that against all odds and great care by doctors i have continued this pregnancy. In the beginning of my first pregnancy, my progesterone level was low and I had to use vaginal suppositories for about 6 weeks. Everything turned out fine and I have a 16 month old son. I am now on my second pregnancy and it is average. I had low progesterone levels early into my second pregnancy. The dr. gave me progesterone supplements immediately and told me it was wait and see. She said that I had a 50%chance of carrying the baby. My second son is now 2 years old. I hope the best for you. I had a friend that went thru it she said that she miscarried to because he body would clot the blood to the baby the put her on meds and said it was safe to try again and would have a health pregnancy. Best of luck to you hope things go great. My cousin had low progesterone levels and miscarried 5 times before they figured it out!! She was suppose to take it before planning on trying to get pregnant but miscarried again!! So now she gave up and had her tubes tied!! I hope your case is different!! She has almost no levels of it!! Like she said its all a waiting game right now... |
