Is progesterone levels at 8.8 on day 25 of my cycle (1 week after ovulation) ok?

Is progesterone levels at 8.8 on day 25 of my cycle (1 week after ovulation) ok?

I believe my doctors told me that over 5 meant you ovulated, but it was a poor ovulation (meaning what??? bad eggs???). They wanted to see a progesterone level over 10, at 7dpo.

You can boost your progesterone level one of two ways: before hand...with fertility meds such as clomid or femara, or after ovulation, with prometrium. Some docs think the prometrium does not help, other docs think, well it can't hurt and it may help. My docs said they wanted to boost the progesterone prior to ovulation with Femara.

Seems a little low to me, I think you generally want to be over 15 at 7DPO. Generally anything over 5 indicates that ovulation has occured.
Talk to your doc, he might put you on some suppositories or pills.

PS, are you sure you ovulated on day 18? cause if you ovulated a little later, like day 22, then a level of 8.8 would still be good on day 25.

If your asking if you ovulated no.they would be higher than that.mine were 24.2 on day 23..

Nope just if you've ovualted or not. I've heard some people say that it can tell if your about to ovulate or just have but I don't think it goes that depth. Sorry!
