Is there a problem with liking having Schizophrenia? |
I'm pretty sure I'm schizophrenic. I looked up the symptoms and I have basically every single one but the drinking and smoking (and a few others.) I hear a voice, but it isn't nasty like the voices are said to be. Actually, I have even named it and it's my friend. I don't mind being with drawled from human contact because I personally hate humans (no offense). I'm quite happy and content with the way I am now, and taking meds and seeing a therapist or something would only make it worse. So is there a problem with liking having a voice and schizophrenia? I have no problem with it, but I'm not really normal so I want an opinion from the general population. I've been told that I have psychosis and to be honest I like it too. It can be quite scary at times but it can also be exciting because I have to fight the spies which are plotting to kidnap and kill me, it's like being a detective and it can be really fun! I have a lot of voices and I can happily go for ages without talking to any real people because I just talk to the ones in my head, I also have a nice voice who has a name, he's my friend and I chat to him a lot, but there are also bad voices which say nasty stuff and tell me to do bad things. I'm on medication at the moment but it doesn't seem to be having any beneficial effects yet, and to be honest I don't really want it to. I'd feel so lonely without my voices and my head would be waaaay too quiet. So, no, I don't think it's a problem that we like it but in my opinion it doesn't really sound like you have schizophrenia. There is nothing wrong with you. The voice you are hearing is that of a spirit, and you can talk back to it using your own thoughts (telepathy). Maybe you should get a psychologist's opinion. However, Schizophrenia is fascinating! If I were properly medicated I don't think I'd hate it. You don't have schizophrenia......everyone has a voice like that......is called you lol If you don't have a prob with it why should anyone else. some people do not mind the voices they hear but from what you have described i very much doubt you are schizophrenic, maybe psychosis but still. |
