How would i go about getting a disability check for Schizophrenia?

if im 18 i need a place to live but i cant work from other mental problems?

Go to www.ssa.gov and click on the link in the middle of the page that says "Applying for disability". Just follow along from there.

First you need to contact the social security office in your state for the paperwork. It has been awhile since I filled it out but I recall it asks a lot of questions. You will need proof of your diagnosis as well. It would not hurt having a doctor confirm that you are not mentally stable to work.

Once you have filled everything out, then you submit and wait for an answer.

You have to see a doctor to get something like that. Than the doctor has to send a letter to the state,but it's very hard to get now a days because the money is going away that the state had for problems like yours.Good luck!

Sounds like your looking for the easy way out like alot of other losers out their collecting checks for sitting on their butts. Get some medication and then get a job like the rest of us.
