Mom has been diagnosed with limited scleroderma?

Is anyone familiar withn this disease? She has had all the symptoms for about 3 yrs.

You have not mentioned the location.

She first had constipation ploblems for awhile now she has diarrhea.
Her hands look leathery she cannot be in hot or cold her finger tips turn blue or almost white. She has some trouble swallowing lots of heartburn has had that a long as I can remember because she is never without tums...she has high blood pressure and palpitations. We go in for a upper and lower GI monday. I hope it has not progressed very far.

This is a site I found. I hope it helps with the definition.

Grey: Both CREST Syndrome and limited scleroderma are same. The Raynod's disease, cyanosis and heart and lung complications with GERD is from one cause, irregular supply of air, blood to the parts of the body which is defined as rheumatic/arthritic. Homeo can cure. Catch up before late. Report Abuse

It is a sclerosis, meaning thickening, and when it happens to the skin whether inside the body or outside, it is scleroderma. Here the intestine walls must be actually effected, and therefore, they do not allow the stool formation and therefore lose stools are ejected. The swallowing problems is connected here. You have not mentioned the location. The Scleroderma Foundation can give you plenty of information. You may google "Sclerderma" to reach there. They are considered as rheumatic/arthritic origin. The medicines mentioned for h.pilori, peptic ulcers in my previous answer in homeopathy holds good for this ailment also. There are good medicines in homeo for hardening of the skin and walls including for the heart. I would consider similar to ascending rheumatism and medicines accordingly would be looked into in homeopathy, alongwith medicines to strengthen the liver. Medicine like,Ledum Pal, Beri Beris Vulgaris,Colocynthis, Colchicum, Argentum Nitricum, Arsenic Album, Pulsatilla, Hydrastis, Bryonia, should be curative.
