Chronic Sinusitis help?

I have suffered from chronic sinusitis for about 3 years now. It started with a trip to the dentist and I don't think the little bit of mold in my house is helping either. I have taken tons of medicine which doesn't help. Been to the doctor and they say there is nothing they can do. I am trying the honey every day even though that has never been proven to help. I thought about trying the netti pot. Has anyone had any thing work for helping you deal with they symptoms of Chronic Sinusitis. The pain is killing me at this point.

Thanks in advance!

Shannon

Hey, I really feel your pain. I also suffer from chronic sinusitis. One thing that I have found really helpful is the sinus rinses. They come with these little packets and you mix them together in a squirt bottle. You then add warm water and mix. Then you lean over onto the bottle, close off one nostril and put the bottle in the other and squeeze. It feels kind of like when you are in a pool and water gets up your nose, but it really helps. You will be surprised to see the kind of junk that comes out. To be honest with you, most of the OTC meds do not help me much. Try to keep the air in your home moist with a humidifier also. Good luck : )

I just went to the doctors yesterday for it. A trip on an airplane set mine off again in June. I always get put on antibiotics. I had some Allegra D in my closet and I took one. It helped tremendously. Its an allergy medicine combined with a decongestant. I tried Mucinox and it didn't compare to Allegra D.

Have you tried Afrin? Good stuff.
