Ear infection to sinusitis?????????? |
so last week doctor told me i had an outer ear infection then this last few days i've been having stuffy nose sore throat and headaches so is it just because of ear infection or did i get sinusitis too The middle ear drains directly to the throat, so it may be that the infection spread. Go back to the doctor and ask for a cure. It's very likely, as they're all connected. The antibiotics should have taken care of any secondary infection. If you're still on them then don't stop. If you've already taken the full amount the doctor ordered then call the office tomorrow and see if they want to order a different one. Good luck and God Bless By outer ear infection can I assume you mean otitis externa? This is an infection of the external ear, the part outside the ear drum. I suppose it's possible that the bacteria causing the otitis may also be at the root of your other problems. Report your new symptoms to your doctor and see what she/he has to say about it. |
