Foods to help skin keep health while on accutane? |
I'm on month two of accutane treatment. While I know it is normal for the skin to dry out, I was wondering what foods people recommend I eat to help my skin look better. I have done 2 rounds of Accutane. It is a very strong drug! I was told to stay away from high chlorophyll foods (spinach, kale, broccoli), tomatoes, oranges and junk foods. Tomatoes and oranges can really sting if they get on your dry skin! I was told to eat lots of foods high in good oils (salmon, tuna) and fruits (grapes, apples, watermelon, bananas) and veggies (celery, carrots, zucchini, cauliflower). Whole grain foods only avoiding processed carbs. Avoid sugars, caffeine and alcohol. apples!! |
