Alright well i have a job in teen health and so GIRLS could i ask you a question! ?


Hello girls,
Well i am doing a study on girls and their weight, now if you feel comforable telling me this information it would be much appreciated since this is a major problem in the society right now.
Please tell me your age, weight and if you feel comfortable with your weight (now tell the truth if you would like to loose some or what)~??

im 18
i weigh 124 (just weighed myself for you haha)
im 5'7
and now i wouldnt like to loose weight because its a good swimmer body. which i swim for a sport.

age: 13
weight: 130-135
opinion: its not really the weight, it's just that i have a huge stomach that makes me look like i'm pregnant, and i really dont want a second chin. haha. so yes, i guess i'd like to lose some.

EDIT: i do NOT have a second chin, i just really don't want to have one! but yes, i do have a huge belly. :(

I'm not happy with my weight. I was about 150 lbs. a year or two ago, then last spring I worked really hard and lost about 15 pounds and was perfectly content with the way I looked and felt, then I went on birth control in September and gained some weight back, and it's really amazing how much worse I feel just 7 pounds heavier than I was.

Yes I'm comfortable with my weight. I know I'm a little overweight, but it doesn't really bother me.

I wouldn't mind losing weight, but more for health reasons than asthetic ones. I have very large breasts and back problems because of it.

Opinion: Yes, I'm fine with my weight but I just feel like my stomach looks larger than it should be for my weight and it really bothers me. So, I'd like to trim some inches, but I'm fine with the pounds.

The only reason i am this skinny is because i play sports all year round, eat healthy, and I have a fast metabolism. Good luck in your teen health job!

I am 32 and have a weight range of 125-130. I am 5'1" I used to be super skinny. I weighed just 90 lbs until I had children. I feel great now! Before I felt I looked like a little girl, but now I feel curvy, like a woman should look.

I'm 16.

Yes I do feel comfortable about my weight.. although some people may think I'm too skinny for my height, I feel perfect and i am VERY healthy. I eat A LOT of food and just have a high metabolism. :)

Ehh...I would like to lose about, 15 pounds, I do gymnastics & I swim as well so, I could benefit from being a little leaner.

18, 5'2, 138. I'm definitely not comfortable with my weight at all. I'm really self-conscious. I want to drop at least 30 pounds.

I am 16 and I weigh Around 160. I am tall, 5'11-6', And no, I'm not really happy with my weight. I wish i was about 15-20lbs thinner, or at least didn't have the "extras." Everyone says i look fine, but i am really insecure about my weight. I don't feel comforable wearing close fitting clothes, or swimwear. The begining of the year i was around 140. Since then i have been much, much more active. I started to walk alot, run some, do jazzercise(dancing/cardio) and it seems the numbers grew. I swim now, run and walk.

It seems i have a slow metabolism, as i have been swimming every day since august, and have not lost any weight or hardly changed at all. I suppose have toned up slightly, but i guess it just takes time. I eat healthy, take vitamin supplements. I am very conscious about what i eat, and why i eat what i eat. It's so weird. I feel hopeless sometimes. It's amazing how much your body image influences nearly everything. I played soccer when i was younger, and i always remember feeling uncomfortable around all the other, more average height, thin girls. I'm not saying I'm overweight, i know I'm not. I just am not as thin as i wish i were. I guess ever since i started comparing myself to my friends, around 3rd grade, I've wished i was skinnier or had a better body type.
