Way to eat health so you can loose weight [teen]?


14, 125lbs, 5'1.

i never eat breakfast, and sometimes just a granola bar for lunch, then come home after basketball pracitce and eat a snack, then dinner and then a snack later on at night. whats an easier way for me to have a lesser calorie intake even tho im usually busy? also how can i learn to stop eating something before i go to sleep?

Your biggest mistake is not eating anything for breakfast. After many hours with nothing in your stomach, your body literally thinks it's starving and that can screw up your metabolism making it hard to lose weight.

Eating healthy means just that, EATING! For breakfast, you need something like an egg with toast and juice or milk (low fat), or have healthy cereal (look at the sugar content and fat content on the side of the box) with soy milk.

Lunch is nothing good for you, that granola bar is probably loaded with fat. Have a hearty soup with veggies, sandwich, milk, and an apple for a snack (with peanut/sunflower seed/almond butter).

Make sure you are not drinking sodas and other high sugar/caffiene drinks, they hold on the weight.

I find it hard to believe you've been functioning on this, it's not feeding your body at all. Remember that being healthy means feeding your body so it won't think it's starving.

Weight is tricky, it depends on bone structure, muscle mass, etc., so just saying you're 125lbs. and 5'1" is not enough information.

Don't forget to drink lots of water before, during and after your basketball practice.
