Which radioisotope is used to diagnose thyroid disorders?

Which radioisotope is used to diagnose thyroid disorders?

cobalt-60
iodine-131
technetium-99
uranium-238

For therapeutic purposes I131, a beta and gamma emitter, is used for ablations of thyroid tumors.. In the past it was used for imaging and diagnosis in Nuclear Medicine evaluations of the thyroid gland. More recently Tc99m has been used to diagnose some space occupying, but functioning, thyroid lesions such as adenomas. These will appear as non functioning masses.because Tc99m is not metabolized by the thyroid and cannot differentiate the functioning from non-functioning lesions. This is important because most cancers are non-functioning... I123, is a thyroid metabolized gamma emitter with a short half-life which has been used, in recent years, for thyroid imaging. I131 can be used in low dosages as a follow-up looking residual thyroid tumor after high dose I131 ablation of thyroid neoplasms.
So the answer is more complex than just simply I131 or Tc99m. Therefore both have been used to diagnose thyroid disorders.

the answer is definitely iodine 131

iodine-131
